St. Ann Gets Two No-Hitters In First Three Games

St. Ann's baseball team got their season off to a great start as they got two no-hitters by 8th grade pitcher Terry Pelczynski. The first game saw St. Ann's matched up against Raccoon as Pelczynski went to work. Pelczynski finished off the no-hitter striking out 13 batters as St. Ann's cruised to a 10-0 win in 5 innings. The offense on the day was provided by Trent “Boomer” Harris as he went 2-3 with 3 RBIs in the win. Brayden Bauza and Tyler Schill also contributed 2 hits as well.

The second game of the week saw St. Ann's take on Tamaroa/St. Brund. This also featured the offense as St. Ann's was able to pull away to win 12-3. Cole Malawy led the way offensively going 3-3 with 2 RBI 3 runs scored 1 HR as well as a triple on the day. Trent “Boomer” Harris had another good game offensively going 1-4 with 3 RBI and a run scored.

The last game saw Pelczynski back on the mound throwing his second no-hitter of the season. Pelczynski finished the game in just 4 innings with 10 strikeouts as St. Anns offense put up 15 runs against Pinckneyville. Nick Miller went 1-3 with 2 RBIs on the day, as everyone in the lineup managed to reach base. Harris again had a huge day going 2-2 with 4 RBI continuing his hot streak on the young season. Tyler Schill contributed 2 RBI as 11 different players scored runs for St. Anns.

St. Anns is now 3-0 on the young season
