Alice Ann Broadway, 73 of Nashville, passed away August 24 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.
Ann was born May 6, 1942 to Whitnel and Edna Mae (Hertter) Evitts in Glendale, IL. She married Stanley Broadway on May 29, 1959 he preceded her in death on February 21, 2002. She was a member of Hoyleton Lutheran Trinity Church. She was retired from United Auto Workers Union. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a hard worker and enjoyed gardening. She was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Ann is survived by three sons, Marvin (Linda) Broadway of Centralia, Mark Broadway of Nashville, David (Susan) Broadway of New Athens; daughter, Renee (John) Bierman of Freeburg; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren that were dear to her heart; brother, Charles G. (Barbara) Evitts of Paducah, Ky.; three sisters, Frances (Norris) Schuchardt of Glendale, Darlene (Mike) Richards of Centralia, Barbara (Bill) Bender of Pearland, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Evitts of Simpson, Donna Evitts of Branson, Mo., Ethel Bates of Vienna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Howard Evitts, Kenneth Evitts, George Evitts, Michael Evitts; sister, Mildred Bailey, and brother-in-law, John Bailey.
Graveside service was held on Thursday August 27, 2015 at Glendale Cemetery in Glendale. The service was conducted by Rev. Phillip Poe. Visit alyfh.com to leave an online condolence. Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville is in charge of arrangements.
