The Mobile Market
Coming To Nashville
The Mobile Market will be coming to Nashville the third Tuesday of each month through a partnership between 4-H Youth Hunger Ambassadors and St. Ann Catholic School. The Mobile Market will be in the front parking lot at St. Ann Catholic School in Nashville from 10 a.m. to Noon on September 15.
Some of the items available for free will include fresh produce, dairy, and other perishable foods. Supplies will be available on a first come first served basis until food runs out. Participants should plan to bring boxes, bags, or carts to carry groceries home.
Vouchers for the Mobile Market are currently available from BCMW, the Washington County Health Department or the Washington County U of I Extension Office in Nashville. For more information please call the Washington County Extension Office at 618-327-8881.
The 4-H Youth Hunger Ambassadors and St. Ann Catholic School are also seeking volunteers to help at the Mobile Market on the third Tuesday of each month. If you are available to help, please call 618-327-8881.
Extension Board To Meet
The Washington County Extension Board will meet on Thursday, September 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington County Extension Office in Nashville. Agenda items will include efforts to reach underserved populations, and a review of the fiscal year 2016 budget.
