Are miracles for today?

This question invites an either yes or no answer, yet that would not have made much of a column. A question that arises is the meaning of ‘miracle’. The usage of this word range from: “It’s a miracle that you got here” to “It is a miracle cure”, not to mention “Miracle Whip”. From the internet dictionary we get the following definitions: an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause; a wonder; marvel; a wonderful or surpassing example of some quality .
