Cynthia “Cindy” Barczewski is seeking re-election as Washington County Circuit Clerk. Cindy began her career on the Circuit Clerk's Office in 1988. Appointed in 2007 as Circuit Clerk, she was elected to her first term in 2008 and won re-election in 2012. With over 27 years of experience in the office, Cindy continues to see the ever changing demands required for successful management of the Circuit Clerk's Office.

The Circuit Clerk's office updated the JIMS court management system in 2013 and is currently in the process of installing an imaging system to convert to digital case management. The digital document filing will include monitoring of current cases and archiving of closed cases resulting in compact storage and easy retrieval of documents. The ultimate goal is to convert to a paperless court management system.

For the Public's convenience, the Circuit Clerk's Office accepts payments by credit and debit cards to pay fines, traffic tickets and other payments due the Court. The payments can be made in person, on-line or over the telephone. The volume of such payments continues to increase.

Cindy looks forward to continuing her service to the citizens as the Washington County Circuit Clerk. Cindy and her husband, Paul Wienstroer, reside in Nashville.
