The Hornets used tough defense and a balanced offense to defeat the Carmi-White County Bulldogs 34-0 this past Friday night. The Hornets defense got things started off by getting a turnover on the first drive of the game as Hunter Schultze picked off a pass from Carmi quarterback Jake Simon setting up the Nashville offense for their first drive of the game.

Nashville got the benefit of a penalty on fourth down that extended their first drive of the game. Ten plays later Andrew Kash found Ethan Reid open in the endzone for his first touchdown pass of the game. The Hornets could not add the two point conversion and took a 6-0 lead.

The Hornets defense did not let Carmi's quarterback get settled sacking him twice on the next drive forcing the Bulldogs to punt the ball away. Nashville took over deep in their own territory, but Kash led the team down the field. Hunter Schultze capped the drive with a 3 yard touchdown run that extended the lead to 12-0.
