Burks Celebrate 50 Years Of Marriage

Robert Burk, son of Henry and Lucy Burk, and Bonita Stawicki, daughter of Jake and Marie Stawicki celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 28. They were married in Springfield at St. Peter and Paul’s Church in 1965. They met on the dance floor of a local hangout and were introduced by Bonnie’s great friend Roseadelle. They danced through many trials and tribulations and proved true love conquers all.

They are the proud parents of three swons, Brian (Friend, Lori), Brady (Jen), and Brent (Lori). They are blessed with three wonderful grandsons, twins Cooper and Griffin, and Hayden.

Bob retired from the City of Springfiled and Bonnie from St. John’s Hospital.
