Robert and Phyllis Shubert and Susan, Hannah, and Grace Gutjahr went to Yellowstone on vacation July 25 and returned home August 1.
They arrived in Jackson Hole, WY on July 27 and got to enjoy the majestic Teton Mountains.
They left on the 28th and headed into Yellowstone and saw some of the sights before heading to West Yellowstone, MT to spend the night. They had a park in the middle of town that had 4 corners of arches made of elk horns. Quite a site. The next morning we went to see the Prismatic Hot Springs before heading back to Yellowstone again to see the rest of the sights. Left on the 30th and headed to Spearfish, S.D. To spend the night.
The whole trip we had seen many motorcycles as Sturgis started August 1.
July 31 we stopped at Mt. Rushmore, took a picture at Crazy Horse Monument, stopped at Wall’s Drug for sightseeing and lunch then a stop at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, S.D. And a night stay in Sioux Fall, S.D.
On August 1 we headed for home and arrived in time for some to go to the Lively Grove Picnic. A good time was had by all.
On August 27 Robert and Phyllis Shubert went to Rantoul, IL and attended the Half Century of Progress 2015 Show on the 28th at the Rantoul Airstrip. It was a pleasant day until partway thru the tractor pull when the rain came.
