St. Ann/Trinity St. Johns Baseball Dominates Opponents

The St. Ann/TSJ baseball team had a successful week as they did not give up a single run over three games. The week started off as they took on Central City at home. This game was over from the beginning. St. Ann/TSJ jumped all over Central City scoring 10 runs in the first inning alone. They were not done scoring. The team scored anouther 5 runs in the second and added 2 more in the third. The game finished 17-0 after just four innings. Chad Brinkmann pitched all four innings only giving up one hit, striking out seven. The entire starting lineup scored at least one run for St. Ann/TSJ. Trent “Boomer” Harris went 3-3 with 2 RBIs in the game to lead the offense. Terry Pelczynski and Brinkmann each contributed 2 RBIs as well. Brayden Bauza, Nick Miller, Sam Bielong, Tyler Schill, Curtis Bochantin, and Jacob Rowell also added hits for St. Ann/TSJ in the game.

The offense again exploded in the second game as St. Ann/TSJ took on Centralia winning 12-0. The offense scored four runs in each of the first three innings closing out the game in just 5 innings. Harris again had a great game going 2-3 with 3 RBIs. Both Cole Malawy and Brinkmann each went 2-3 with 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Pelczynski was on the mound as he pitched all five innings facing just 18 batters, striking out 13 of those batters.

The last game saw great offensive production yet again from St. Ann/TSJ when they took on Holy Childhood Mascoutah, defeating them 9-0. Brinkmann led the offense going 2-4 with 2 doubles 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored in the game. Logan Eversgerd added two hits for St. Ann/TSJ and both Malawy and Pelczynski added 2 RBIs in the game. Harris was on the mound, pitching all seven innings giving up just 4 hits and striking out 11 batters. The record for St. Ann/TSJ now stands at 9-3.
