This week is homecoming week for Nashville Community High School and all NCHS Alumni. The students have been celebrating by dressing up in unique ways each day this week.
Monday was Hat and T-shirt Signing Day. Tuesday was Dress Like a Tourist Day. Wednesday is Dress Like a Celebrity Day, and Thursday is Color Day.
The seniors wear black, juniors wear blue, sophomores wear red, freshmen wear white, and faculty and staff wear gray. Friday, as always, is Spirit Day.
The students have also voted for this year’s homecoming attendants and the homecoming queen. The freshmen class chose Kylie Kozuszek to be the attendant. The sophomore attendant is Paige Kasten, and the junior attendant is Christine Garner.
The NCHS Homecoming Queen candidates are Allyson Grabowski, Kari Hake, Molly Huge, Tianna Kozuszek, and Alyssa Lohmann. The traditional NCHS Homecoming Queen Coronation will take place during halftime at Friday’s football game against the Pinckneyville Panthers.
Also on Friday is the homecoming parade which will begin at 2:00 p.m. Concluding the week’s activities is a semi-formal dance which will be held on Saturday night from 8-11 p.m. in the high school’s north gymnasium. We encourage everyone to support the Nashville Hornets and enjoy the homecoming festivities.
