NMS Cross Country Competes At Kaskaskia College

The Nashville Middle School cross country team competed in the Kaskaskia College Invitational held on September 30 in Centralia. Nashville came out of the event with 12 medalists as well as finishing first overall in the girls varsity team event.

The JV Girls race had 72 runners. The Jr. Hornettes finished with one medalist as Hailey Baugh finished 4th. The Varsity girls race had a total of 53 runners, with the Jr. Hornettes having 6 medalists. The medalists were, Sabrina Kollbaum finished 2nd, Havelen Pierce finished 3rd, Kiley Heidel finished 4th, Destyn Hausner finished 5th, Kayla Ivey finished 12th, and Elise Spencer finished 14th.

The Varsity boys race had 82 runners, and the Jr. Hornets finished with one medalist as Gavin Love finished 5th. In the open race, 47 runners competed. Nashville finished with 5 medalists as Janisha Bailey finished 5th, Sarah Staley finished 7th, Carlie Anderson finsihed 11th, and Rylee Luechtefeld finished 15th.
