Norbert Anthony Behrman, 65, of St. Libory, born Oct. 13, 1949, in Belleville, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015 at St. Louis University Hospital, in St. Louis.

Norbert was a retired roofer and recently owned and operated Knipp Roofing for 15 years. He was a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church; president of the St. Libory Commercial Club; past member of St. Libory Moose; past member of St. Libory Athletic Club; and he was an avid card player and a loyal St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Marie, nee Greten, Behrman; two brothers, Donald and Ralph Behrman; a sister, Lucy Piper; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vernon and Mildred Weeke; and step mother-in-law, Ione Weeke.

Norbert is survived by his wife, Phyllis, nee Weeke, Behrman whom he married in St. Libory, on July 11, 1970; three sons, Anthony (Stacie) Behrman of Okawville, Brad (Sherri) Behrman of Las Vegas, Nev., and Corey (Elisha) Behrman of Bartelso; six grandchildren, Aidan, Tobey, Bryce, Nate, Kaylie, and Trista Behrman; two brothers, Stanley (Shirley) Behrman of St. Libory, Daniel (Barbara) Behrman of Oakdale; three sisters, Grace Connelly of Walnut Hill, Marlene (John) Schatte of Austin, Texas, and Monica (Leroy) Leabo of Benton, Mo.; nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

A funeral Mass was held on Monday, Oct. 12, 2015 at St. Liborius Catholic Church with Father Dennis Voss officiating. Interment followed at St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery, St. Libory.
