Royal Neighbors Present Check To Ashley Grade School PTO

Ashley Royal Neighbors of America Chapter #4517 recently presented a check for $2,350.76 to the officers of the Ashley Grade School PTO. The check represents the proceeds of $1,350.76 from the 27th Annual Ashley RNA Matching Fund Project held in September, along with the $1,000.00 matching grant from the Royal Neighbors Home Office in Rock Island, IL. The money will benefit the children attending Ashley Grade School. Other Ashley RNA members helping with the project but unable to attend the presentation were Sharon Cameron, Nancy Clark, Mary Ann Ceglinski and Vera Phelps. We had a very successful event this year. Winners were: Karen Wiebler won the grand prize of a grocery filled wheelbarrow donated by Ashley RNA Chapter #4517. Other prizes awarded in the raffle were a (2) $25 cash prizes donated by Action Amusement, Ashley, they were won by Betty Shopinski and Judy Sturgeon, a $25 gift card donated by Mt. Vernon Wal-Mart and won by Shannon Brooks, $25 gift card donated by the Lantern Pub, Ashley, won by William Wiebler, a $25 gift certificate donated by Ashley Market Place, Ashley, and won by George Hansen, Ryan Rulevish and Marvin Boldt both won $10 pizza cards donated by Popeck’s 66, Ashley, Tammy Voss won a WELCOME sign donated by Peg’s Place, Richview and John Kasban won the Dandelion plaque donated by Garland and Grace Primitives, Richview.

There was also a raffle held for two specialty baskets and a Fall wreath, which were donated by a couple of members of the Ashley RNA Chapter. The winner of the Children’s basket was John Paul Wolf, the winner of the Betty Crocker Baking Basket was Darlene Jones and Joyce McCoy was the winner of the Fall wreath.

Winning $5 cash each for the attendance prizes were Nancy Clark and Eric Wintermann.

Farmers and Merchants National Bank, Ashley Banking Center, also donated to the Chapter’s
event. Ashley Royal Neighbors appreciates all of the help and donations received from the surrounding communities. Without all of the support we would not be able to have such a successful event.
