Plans for this years ‘Trunk or Treat’ at the Methodist Church is underway. The date has been set for Friday evening, October 30 at 6. The annual event consists of a wiener roast, bon fire and hay ride.

Another year, another harvest, God bless the farmers. Slow down and be mindful of the farm equipment on the roads.

Nancy and Donnie Russell traveled to St. Louis last Saturday to celebrate the ‘Trips’ fifth birthday. Doesn’t seem possible they could be five years old already.

Joyce McCoy celebrated another birthday on the twentieth, Happy Birthday Joyce.

Looking forward to Ashley Grade School ‘Lady Wolves’ basketball season which started Monday evening.

The Hummingbirds are gone. My friend enjoyed watching the birds flocked to her feeders, as she does every year. There is one hummer that she is found of, named Jimmy, that you might say, rules-the-roost. Jimmy guards the feeders and the fight is on when the others try to get a drink. Until next year Jimmy.

Watch for deer.

The date for the annual RUMC ‘Thanksgiving Dinner’ has been set for November 14 at 2.

If you live in the Richview community and are in need of food, please give Pastor Dennis Gambill a call at 249-6014 or 322-9038 to get on the list for pick-up on Saturday, 24 October.
