Vicky Buss and Darlene Ostendorf took a day trip up to Nauvoo on Friday. They took in the Morman history there and went to the Baxter Winery which is Illinois oldest winery. After the Mormans were driven out of Nauvoo, the Icarians seized the opportunity to move in. Their system of government didn’t work and the sect broke up. So it was a day of history and the autumn colors were good.
