The Trinity St. John/Immanuel Lutheran Lady Titans girls basketball team kicked off their season this past week as they faced off against St. Johns Red Bud on October 19. Both the A-Team and B-Team were in action as the A-Team won 40-13 and the B-Team was defeated 10-19
In the A-Team game the Lady Titans started the game fast jumping out to an 8-4 lead after the first quarter. The Titans continued their onslaught in the second quarter outscoring St. Johns Red Bud 8-0 to go into halftime leading 16-4. The Lady Titans came out strong in the second half putting up 14 points ini the third quarter alone. The Lady Titans would go onto add 10 more in the fourth to close out the game.
Delaney Toesning was the leading scorer for the Lady Titans scoring 18 points in the game. Cayla Krueger and Taylor Rapp each added 8 points in the game, while Katie May added 6.
The B-team struggled offensively in their game as they mangaed only 10 points. The B-team had a 5-2 lead after the first quarter, but did not score again til the 4th quarter. The B-team lost 10-19. Leading the B-team was Katie May with 5 points in the game. Cayla Krueger and Megan Rennergarbe each added 2 points in the contest while Hanna Niedbalski added 1 point in the game.
