Yvonne Kelena “Bonnie” Cacioppo, nee Strand, 39, of Perris, Calif., formerly of O’Fallon, born September 30, 1976 in Torrance, Calif., died October 28, 2015 in Perris, Calif., as a result of an automobile accident.

Bonnie grew up in O’Fallon and had previously operated her own restaurant, A-O-K BBQ in Nashville, before moving to California two years ago. Bonnie was very generous and often helped to provide meals for the poor. She was a hard-worker, loved animals and the outdoors, and lived life to the fullest. She attended church and her love for Jesus was shown through her works of kindness.

Surviving are her parents Ron and Barb, nee Dzombar, Bright; daughter Veronica Haddock; her sisters Kele Wood and Jennifer Bright, grandmother Alice Scheibel, all of O’Fallon; step-brother Jon Bright, step-sisters Deeny Martinez, Marcy Dixon Norrap, and Bonnie Morgan Zingg; and her nephews Christopher Wood and David DeMond, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Jerry O. Strand.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, November 6, 2015 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O’Fallon. Cremation will follow.
