Mildred Lilienkamp died on October 4, 2015 at Huntsville Health and Rehabilitation LLC of Huntsville, Ala. She was 89 years of age.
She was born January 9, 1926, the third daughter of Marion Adam and Nettie Mae Jay Ditzler in Jackson County. She grew up in Sparta, and graduated from Sparta Township High School in 1943. On August 18, 1945 she was married to James Henry David Lilienkamp at the First Methodist Church of Sparta. She was widowed on January 14, 1947; their daughter and only child, Janice Kay, was born later that year.
She is survived by her daughter Janice Lilienkamp McKemie, and husband, Robert of Huntsville, Ala; one sister, Marian Ditzler Powers of Gulfport, Miss.; one brother, John Henry Ditzler, and wife, Katy, of Tacoma, Wash.; one sister-in-law, Marjorie Lilienkamp Bergmann of Nashville; one brother-in-law, Henry Louis John Bergmann of Nashville; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
A graveside service will be held at St. Paul Cemetery, Nashville, on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Organ Fund of First Presbyterian Church, Huntsville, Ala.
