wishes to invite all Veterans to visit the Library on November 11 from 9 am to 11 am for free coffee and donuts.
Next Saturday is Ashley Community Committee’s Christmas Bazaar. Doors open at 7 am to 2 pm for some serious
Christmas shopping. Admission is $1.00 with proceeds going to purchase wipes, hand sanitizer and tissues for Ashley Grade School.
Santa arrives at 9 am and stays until 1pm. There will be photo’s with Santa for families and pets for $5.00. There will be a free craft for the kids.
Letters to Santa are back this year for $1.00 to cover postage. Over 30 crafters and vendors have signed up with lots of new crafters and vendors.
Ashley Community Committee will be back at the Community Building on Saturday night at 6;30 pm for J.T’s Karaoke and Dj
So if you like to sing come on out. It will be a fun filled evening with some great friends and good music. Ashley Community Committee will be selling concessions.
United Methodist Church Services every Sunday morning at 8;30 am with Sunday School at 9;30am.
Ashley Community Committee meets this Thursday night at 6 pm and welcomes new members.
City Council meeting November 16 at 7 pm at City Hall. If your street lights are out please call Erika at city hall 485-2270.
Last week a Ashley resident was contacted by someone in regards to their water bill and was told if they did not pay a certain amount of money their water would be turned off. This was a scam and if you receive a phone call please contact the Sheriff’s office immediately.
Here it is November 9 and my roses are still in bloom. I wish we had weather like this year round. But you know what the old saying is, if you don’t like the Illinois weather stick around it will change. I like snow but really only want to see snow for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day then we can go back to the beautiful weather we have been having.
