The St. Ann boys basketball team was back in action on November 2 as they took on Ashley at home. St. Ann took control of the game early and never looked back as the Saints outscored Ashley in three quarters.
The Saints got off to a fast start with 22 points in the first quarter. The Saints made six three pointers in the first quarter alone with Terry Pelczynski leading the way with three. Nick Miller chipped in two three pointers in the first quarter as well. The defense in the first was stifling in the first quarter as Ashley only managed two points.
The Saints continued their offensive showing in th esecond quarter, outscoring Ashley 17-9 allowing them to take a 39-11 lead into halftime. Coming out of halftime the Saints extended their lead to 30 points going into the fourth quarter. The Saints would cruise from there winning the game 61-35.
Leading the way for the Saints was Pelczynski with 21 points. Joining Pelczynski in double figures was Miller with 15 points and Cole Malawy with 12 points. Logan Eversgerd scored 5 points in the game. Luke Pedke scored 4 points. Braden Bauza and Ryan Restoff each scored 2 points to round out the scoring for St. Ann. St. Ann made 9 three pointers in the game, all of which came before halftime.
St. Ann will be back in action on November 12, at home against St. Libory before heading out on a two game road trip. The Saints will face off against St. Andrews on November 16 before taking on Hoffman on November 17.
