Rollover Crash On I-64 Leaves Driver Injured

A rollover crash occurred on Interstate 64 at approximately the 60.5 mile marker on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 1:45 p.m.

Allan C. Snyder, 63, of Seymour, Ind., was travelling westbound in his 2016 Chevrolet Equinox when an unknown vehicle changed lanes in front of him.

Snyder overreacted and swerved into the median to avoid hitting the vehicle. Once in the median, Snyder’s vehicle continued down an embankment where the Interstate passes over a railyard. The vehicle rolled as it went down the embankment and came to rest on its top.

The Interstate was not closed due to the accident because recovery of Snyder and his vehicle were conducted from the railroad below the Interstate.

Snyder received minor injuries in the crash and was taken to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment.
