A ‘Good Time’ was had for the Venedy Band potluck last Sunday evening, hosted at the Ronald Recker Farm.
Tuesday evening, following the St Libory American Legion Post 683 monthly meeting, Norm Wilke, a 60 year Legion member, gave a very interesting presentation of his tour of duty and his life following his discharge.
Saturday the following dined together at La Gardenia in Fairmont City in honor of Tiffany Droege’s Birthday, which was Sunday November 15th: Tiffany and David Droege, John and Jeannette Higginbothan, B.J. and Barb Shelton, Steve and Gina Droege, Stanley and Ora Mae Droege, John and Jaxson Ziebka, Josh and Jamie Runion, Hayden and Olivia, Andrea Bagaglio, Holly Werner and Chad Webber, Katrina Knebel and Norm Knollhoff and Sylvia and Althea, Josh and Alicia Furlow, and Kevin Counts.
Sunday November 22nd, St John’s UCC Johannisburg will welcome the St Lucas United Church of Christ Youth Group from St Louis.
Our prayers are with the victims and families of the disaster in Paris, France.

Hey, I believe the majority of the leaves have fallen from the trees, don’t know about you, but we had gobs. My blessed neighbor came and helped me again on Saturday. It’s so wonderful to have great neighbors. Hope I can return the favors sometime.
The Washington County United Church of Christ Clergy lunch was Tuesday at El Indio in Nashville.
During the month of November the Washington County UCC Churches will be raising funds to purchase eight cribs and mattress sets and eight glider rockers for the Hoyleton Ministries new Parenting and Pregnant Teen Program in Belleville. Donations will help teens learn the skills and receive encouragement to be successful parents.
