Raymond Yehling

Mr. Raymond Yehling of Okawville, departed this life in the Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville, on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 7:05 P.M. He had attained the age of 77 years, 2 months and 21 days.

Raymond was born in Kansas City, Mo. on August 30, 1938. He was the son of George and Hilda (nee England) Yehling. Ray was united in marriage to Elaine Klasing in the St. Peter United Church of Christ in Okawville on December 27, 1959 and she survives his passing.

Mr. Yehling was an electrician and opened Yehling Electric in Okawville. He then worked at Ligma in Nashville until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and also enjoyed playing horseshoes and cards and bowling. He was a faithful member of the St. Peter United Church of Christ in Okawville.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife of nearly 56 years, Elaine Yehling of Okawville; four children, Cheryl Nobe and husband Wayne of Addieville, Jennifer Ross and husband Dale of Greenville, Thomas Yehling and wife Stacy of Venedy, and Terry Yehling and wife Leigh Ann of Okawville; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; other relatives and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Leslie and Mildred (nee Riechmann) Klasing.

Funeral services will be held from the St. Peter United Church of Christ in Okawville on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 10 A.M. with Pastor Jeffrey Schwab officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. There will be a visitation on Wednesday from 7:30 A.M. until 8 A.M. then at the church from 9 A.M. until the service hour.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the St. Peter United Church of Christ or to Heartland Hospice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
