Barbara Jean Royster
Barbara Jean (Fisher) Royster, 91, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Evansville Protestant Home. She was born September 5, 1924, in Indianapolis to the late Charles and Lela (VanHuss) Fisher.
She was a devout Christian and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ralph R. Royster, in 2013.
She is survived by her daughters, Becky (John) McRoy, Kathleen (David) Gregory, Cynthia (David) Jones, and Kimberly (Hans) Schmeits; grandchildren, Benjamin (Shelby) McRoy, Carrie (Joshua) Christy, Ashley McRoy, Michael (Samantha) Gregory, Anna Gregory, Jared Jones, Madison Jones, Mateo Schmeits, and Olivia Schmeits; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 3 at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor John McRoy and Pastor Benjamin McRoy, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM and Thursday from noon until service time at the funeral home.
