The American Legion and Auxiliary Christmas Party is slated for December 13 beginning at 12 noon at Little Nashville restaurant. To secure your reservation, contact Carol Krueger (493-7764) or Connie Huge (493-6130) by December 8. Each person is asked to bring a gift costing $2.00 – $3.00 which will be used for prizes.

Those attending the 10 am worship service at Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton will continue a journey of preparation for the birth of Jesus during the season of Advent. The sermon title for this service will be: Our Advent Journey Continues. With the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit and Scripture readings from Malachi 3:1-4, Luke 1:68-79, and Luke 3:1-6, we continue our time of preparation for the birth of the Christ-child.

A second Advent candle will be lit during this worship journey. We will also celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion. All are invited to join in this advent journey and sharing in Holy Communion.

Pastor Howard Self will lead and facilitate an ecumenical Bible Study at the Original Springs Hotel in Okawville. All are welcome to attend this Advent Bible Study which gathers from 10 to 11 am each Wednesday during December in the Lions Room. All are welcome.
