Mrs. Earlean Thompson of Oakdale, departed this life at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, IL on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 2:32 PM. She had attained the age of 79 years, 2 months and 4 days.
Mrs. Thompson was born on September 27, 1936 at St. Park, the daughter of Berthel and Mary Ann (Patterson) Carman. She was united in marriage to Charles Thompson on April 21, 1956 in Nashville, and he survives her passing.
Earlean was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Nashville. She loved spending time with her kids and her family.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband Charles Thompson of Oakdale; two sons, Dennis Thompson of Coulterville, and David Thompson and his wife Tonya of Oakdal; daughter-in-law, Candi Gill of Mt. Vernon; five grandchildren, Dustin Thompson (Abby), Nicholas Thompson (special friend Alisha Tucker), Bailey Thompson, Wesley Thompson and Mitchell Thompson; a great granddaughter, Waylen Fulford; two sisters, Mae Thomas of Hannibal, MO and Barbara Schuessler and husband Merle of Nashville, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Charles Keith Thompson; a son in infancy, Wayne Thompson and a sister, Christine Bryant.
Funeral services wereheld at the Oakdale Village Hall in Oakdale, on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11 AM with Pastor Ronald Mazander officiating. Interment followed in the Elkton Cemetery in Elkton.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Oakdale Grade School or Elkton Cemetery and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
