We had dinner at the Pub on Sunday and I had a chance to meet some new people.

While talking we discussed the Ashley news. I enjoyed hearing their stories about the Ashley news through the years. My favorite was how people use to motor to Mount Vernon. I wonder how the Ashley news was reported to the paper years ago? I just set at my desk now and send a email now.

Ashley Community Committee had their meeting last Thursday at 6 pm. They have lots of ideas for 2016 and can’t wait to start planning in January. Don’t forget they have a Fireworks fund set up at F&M Bank and you may donate at any time.

United Methodist Church Services are every Sunday at 8;30 am with pastor Dennis Gambill and everyone is welcome.

City Council meeting is Dec 21 at 7 pm at City Hall if you have complaints or concerns make plans to attend and address it with the council. If your street lights are out call City hall.

Can you believe this weather? I am having a hard time with Christmas shopping its just not Christmas without snow. I am glad to see that so many people decorated for the Holidays this year.
