Toni R. Naugle, 44 of Pinckneyville, was driving a 2006 Ford Mustang when she was rear ended by a 2001 Chevrolet Cruz driven by Joseph D. Beimfohr, 29 of Nashville. Joseph was cited by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Following Too Close and Operating and Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
Brian R. Baird, 47 of Greer, S.C., was driving a 2012 Chrysler Van when it struck a tire that was in the roadway on I-64 near the 50 mile marker. No injuries were reported.
Andre Martin (37) of St. Louis, was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Investigation of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Cannabis, and issued citations for No Valid Driver’s License, Operating Uninsured Vehicle, and Failure to Signal When Required.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle accident occurring on State Route 15. Kyle S. Purcell, 35, of Pinckneyville, was traveling west-bound on State Route 15 when an unknown vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign on County Highway 12. Purcell swerved to avoid the vehicle, traveled off the roadway, and struck the ditch. Purcell and three passengers of his vehicle were transported from the scene for treatment.
