On December 12, Law Enforcement from Washington county hosted area children for 2015’s Shop With A Cop, taking the kids out shopping for Christmas and then getting them lunch at Dairy Queen.
Nashville’s Police Chief Brian Fletcher, president of Washington County Fraternal Order Of Police Lodge #274 and an organizer of the event, submitted the following letter to The Nashville News describing the event and thanking its supporters:
I would like to thank the local Law Enforcement Community for coming together on December 12 to help out with such a valuable and rewarding endeavor which is the annual Shop With A Cop program.
A special thank you goes to all of the organizations, businesses and individuals that donated to the program.
Thank you to the Nashville Dairy queen for providing a free lunch and to Lee’s, Lee’s Sports and the Okawville Dollar General for the support and generous discounts that were given on our purchases.
Again, a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in this year’s Shop With A Cop program. Without all of you, we would not be able to provide this meaningful program for the youth of our communities.
Respectfully,
Chief Brian Fletcher
President,
FOP Lodge #274
