The Hoyleton/Grand Prairie Lady Thundercats celebrated their 8th grade night, as they took on Hoffman on December 15. The Thundercats have two eighth graders on their team, Sydney Schnitker, and Taylor Stark. Both the A team and the B team were in action.

In the A game, the Thundercats took control in the first quarter, as they took an 8-2 lead. Hoyleton/Grand Prairie was able to extend their lead to eight points going into the halftime break. Coming out in the third quarter, the Thundercats took complete control of the game, as they outscored Hoffman 17-3 in the third quarter alone. In the third quarter the Thundercats wer led by Carlie Barban with 9 points in the quarter. Hoyleton/Grand Prairie cruised in the fourth quarter to a 33-15 win.

The Thundercats were led in the game by Barban with 13 points in the game. Emily Schnitker and Sydney Schnitker each had seven points apiece in the win. Lilly McKinney chipped in four points in the game, while Taylor Stark scored two points for Hoyleton/Grand Prairie.

The B game was a low scoring affair, as Hoyelton/Grand Prairie trailed 0-3 after the frist quarter. The Thundercats were able to get on the board in the second quarter, as they were able to take a 4-3 lead at halftime. Coming out of halftime, Hoffman was able to take the lead going into the final stanza. In the final quarter, Hoyleton/Grand Prairie was able to pull away as they went on to a 16-9 victory.

Leading the B team was Carlie Barban with eight points in the game. Emily Schnitker and McKinney each added four points for the Thundercats in the victory.
