December 22

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Hoyleton Youth and Family Service Children’s Home for a Missing Person.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle accident on Dubois Blacktop Road. A vehicle driven Austin B. Spotanski, 18 of Dubois, was traveling East on Dubois Blacktop Road when Austin lost control of his vehicle causing it to exit the roadway and striking a ditch. No injuries were reported.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of four wheelers on the roadway in rural Addieville.

December 23

The Sheriff’s Office took a report of Suspicious Activity near a residence on Elkton Road.

The Sheriff’s Office returned a phone call to a Ashley resident regarding visitation rights and child custody.

The Sheriff’s Office took a report of suspicious activity in Irvington.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle traffic crash on County Highway 12 and Honeysuckle Road. Corey P. Hill, 23 of Chester, swerved to avoid striking a vehicle, struck a ditch, and overturned. No injuries were reported.

December 24

The Sheriff’s Office responded to Grandma’s Kitchen in Irvington for suspicious activity.

December 25

The Sheriff’s Office took a report of a Child Custody Dispute in Rural Centralia.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a traffic crash on State Routh 14 near County Highway 27. Kenya L. Cortez, 21 of Rensslear, Ind., was cited for operating a vehicle in violation of her instructional tournament.

December 26

The Sheriff’s Office responded to assist the Illinois State Police with a one vehicle accident on I-64 eastbound near the 52 mile post.

A Washington County Deputy responded to Locust Creek Rd. for flooding and to check if the roadway/bridge was washed out. The Pilot Knob Road Commissioner was informed of the possible damage and placed signs warning citizens not to drive into the flooded area.
