“The First Rosa” Pre-Release Showing At The State Theater
There will be a special pre-release showing of “The First Rosa”, a film documenting the life and accomplishments of Rosa J. Young and her influence on the Lutheran Church in Alabama.
With a passion for helping others, educating children and sharing the Gospel, Rosa accomplished extraordinary things for her community and the kingdom of God.
Known as the “Mother of Black Lutheranism in Central Alabama” Rosa Young was instrumental in founding and promoting 30 Lutheran elementary schools and 35 Lutheran congregations in Alabama’s ‘Black Belt’.”
The film will be played at the State Theater in Nashville, Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 3 pm (film will last under an hour).
Admission is free.
A door offering will be received after the movie to benefit the Unity Lutheran Christian School in East Saint Louis.
