Aaron Richards
Aaron Richards was born on December 7, 1926 in Beaucoup Township near Nashville, and passed away peacefully in San Diego on January 1, 2016. He was the youngest child of Clifford and Leola (Merker) Richards.
At age 18, he left the Nashville area when he joined the US Navy. Aaron served at the end of WWII and again during the Korean Conflict. He and his wife Norma settled in San Diego while both were stationed there. He later worked as a carpenter and a General Contractor.
He is survived by a son, James and wife Jerris of Denver, North Carolina; a daughter, Patricia Maches (Steve) of San Diego; three grandsons, four great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma; and his five brothers; Leonard, Raymond, Albert, Robert and Edwin; and three sisters; Janice Buhrmester, Mary Greenwald Brown and Catherine Richards.
Memorial services will be held at the San Diego County Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma, Calif., on January 22.
