Lois Mae Pence

Lois Mae Pence of Belleville, formerly of Okawville, departed this life in the Four Fountains Nursing Home in Belleville on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 5:05 A.M. She had attained the age of 85 years, one month and 22 days.

Lois was born in Okawville on November 16, 1930 the daughter of Theodore and Sadie (nee Hagebush) Bohbrink. She was united in marriage to Bruce Pence on March 14, 1953 in the Okawville United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2004.

Lois was a homemaker and former member of the Okawville United Methodist Church. She loved her family and was a devoted mom, grandma and great grandma.

Left to mourn her passing are two children, Pamela Clark of Belleville and Jeffrey Pence and wife Lauri of Montrose, Colo.; four grandchildren, Matthew Lonsdale and wife Amber, Carrie Beth Gravot and husband Brandon, Joel Pence and wife Cari and Sophie Harlan and husband Andrew; five great grandchildren; and an aunt.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Bohbrink.

Funeral services were held from the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Monday, January 11, 2016, with Pastor Brian Robinson officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Okawville.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Family Hospice or to the Belleville Area Humane Society and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
