Mrs. Vern Peper of O’Fallon, Mo., departed this life at Delmar Gardens in O’Fallon, Mo., on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 5:50 P.M. She had attained the age of 96 years, 6 months and 27 days.
Vern was born in Beaucoup, on July 23, 1919 the daughter of Vernon and Ellen (nee Green) Edwards. She was united in marriage to William Lawhorn and after his passing she later married Lawrence Peper and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Peper was a homemaker. She was a past member of Grace United Methodist Church in Nashville. She enjoyed reading, sewing and enjoyed church activities.
Left to mourn her passing is her sons, Bill Lawhorn and late wife Mary and Douglas Lawhorn and wife Patricia all of O’Fallon, Mo.; six grandchildren, Robin(Michael)Griggs, Jeff(Teresa)Lawhorn, Malinda(Dan) Chin, Chris(Tracy)Lawhorn, Sarah Lawhorn, David(Amy)Lawhorn; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Mary Ellen Gowins and Sylvia Counts; two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral Services will be held from the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 12 P.M. Interment will be in the Beaucoup Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
