Rubin G. Moore, 70, of Nashville, passed away at 7:04 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on October 9, 1945 in East St. Louis, the son of Rubin G. and Monon D. Griffith Moore. He married Shirley M. Simmons on May 4, 1995 in Belleville and she survives in Nashville.

Also left to mourn his passing are his children; Michael (Denise) Hansson of Nashville, Landon Rodenhofer of Illiopolis, Brenda (Tommy) Bauer of Tilden and Sheila (Jeff Price) Cowsert of Waterloo. Seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Two brothers; Dewey Moore of Marion, Ky. and Gary (Romona) Moore of French Village, Mo. Two sisters; Cheryl (Robert) Wente of French Village, Mo. and Lora Fisher of St.Louis, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rubin was a retired carpenter at Touchette Regional Hospital in Centerville. He attended the First Baptist Church in Nashville and enjoyed watching football, especially the Rams. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling and pitching horse shoes.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the First Baptist Church in Nashville.

Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
