Gladys M. Dober

Mrs. Gladys M. Dober of Coulterville, departed this life at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 3:55 PM. She had attained the age of 92 years, 5 months and 16 days.

Mrs. Dober was born on August 12, 1923 at Cordes, the daughter of Herman and Hilda (Hermman) Wiese. She was united in marriage to Cecil Dober on June 12, 1946 in Nashville, and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1997.

Gladys was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Nashville. She enjoyed gardening, being outside and helping others.

Left to mourn her passing is her son-in-law, Bud Smith of Sparta; two grandchildren, Michael Smith and wife Renee and Debbie Hochmuth and husband David; four great grandchildren, Kaley Buman (Cole), Cody Craig (Levi), Justin Krantz and DJ Hochmuth (Heather); two great great-grandchildren, Carter Buman and Grayson Hochmuth; one great great-grandchild due in July; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Sandra Smith; a sister, Rose Novak and two brothers, Paul and Eugene Wiese.

Funeral services were held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, on Monday, February 1, 2016 with Pastor Tim McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery in Nashville.
