Police Report

February 1

The Nashville Police Department responded to the 11700 block of St. Rt. 127 for a suspicious item.

Officers took a report of lost property from the 800 block of S. Broadway St.

Police arrested Tristan Shaw, 20 of Nashville, for possession of drug paraphernalia. Tristen was also issued a citation for disobeyed stop sign and verbal warnings for DL not on person and failure to notify SOS of address change. Tristan was taken to the Washington County Jail for the charges.

Officers took a report of a hit and run accident on W. Elm St. just east of N. Short St. Taylor Thomas, of Nashville, had her vehicle hit by an unknown vehicle sometime over night. A report was taken on the accident.

Police arrested Christopher Sharp, 26 of Nashville, for driving while license suspended and for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Christopher was also issued a citation for operating uninsured vehicle. Christopher was taken to the Washington County Jail for the charges.

February 2

Officers responded to the 200 block of S. Mill St. for a theft.

Police arrested Rodrigo Lozano, 34 of Nashville, for no valid driver’s license, unlawful possession of controlled substance, being cocaine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and for having a false/secret compartment inside his vehicle. The arrest stimulated after the Nashville Police’s K-9 alerted on the vehicle. Rodrigo also received several traffic citations as a result of the arrest. Rodrigo was taken to the Washington County Jail and placed on a felony hold for the charges.

February 3

Nashville’s K-9 unit was requested by the Sheriff’s Department to search a vehicle. As a result drugs, and paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.

Officers reponded to an alarm in the 17000 block of Mercantile Dr.

Police witnessed a traffic crash on the I-64 Eastbound off-ramp at St. Rt. 127. A vehicle driven by Dawn Rennegarbe, of Nashville, was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Mary C. DeSoto, of Waverly, Iowa.

Officers arrested John Howell of Nashville for Criminal Trespass to State Supported Land for being on the Village Apts II property after receiving notice he was not allowed to be there.

February 4

Police reponded to an alarm in the 600 block of N. Mill St.

Officers responded to St. Rt. 15 in front of the Water Plant in regards to a one-car accident. No injuries were reported. Blake Hanson of DuQuoin was traveling west when a deer jumped out in front of him. The deer hit Hanson’s passenger side and Hanson went into the ditch. Hanson’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

February 5

Police took a report from Jessica Ochoa, of Centralia, about a domestic battery that occurred between her and her wife, Tatianna Ochoa of Centralia on St. Rt. 127 near I-64.

Officers arrested Crystal Barone of Nashville for operating vehicle with suspended registration.

February 6

Police responded to an alarm in the 17500 block of Mockingbird Rd.

Officers responded to the 700 block of S. Grand Ave. for an overdose.

Police resonded to the 800 block of N. Kaskaskia St. for a suspicious vehicle.

Officers responded to the Citgo Gas Station in regards to a woman in her car passed out. Police made contact with the female subject and identified her as Charity Kearney of Benton, Charity was then taken to the Washington County Hospital. Once Charity was treated and was medically cleared. Charity was placed under arrest for possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful use of an intocicating compound. Charity was then transported to the WCSO jail.

February 7

Police responded to Holzhauers after hours for suspicious activity.

Officers assisted EMS on S. Paul St.

Police arrested Barbara McConnell, 23 of Nashville, for driving while license suspended. Barbara was transported to the Washington County Jail for the charge.

February 8

Officers responded to the 500 block of N. Washington St. for threats.
