This Saturday, February 20 – a Girls’ Volleyball Tournament is being hosted by Nick Huge for the benefit of August (Gus) Weihe.

Gus, and his twin sister Anna, are the children of Andy and Kelly Weihe. Gus has faced medical challenges and all proceeds will assist in covering the exorbitant medical costs. The tourney currently has 8 teams registered and will begin at 8 a.m. A lunch and concession stand will be open – so drop in for lunch, watch the games and assist Gus to his road to recovery. It is expected the tourney will end at approximately 3 p.m.

Should you have any questions or wish to make a donation, please contact Nick Huge, 618-214-5793.

A group of family and friends converged into the Community Club’s Red Room this past Saturday wishing Doug Huge a very blessed and happy 60th birthday. The array of gifts were a highlight of amusement for the crown.

On Sunday, February 21st Zion United Church of Christ will study the following scriptures – Genesis 15: 1-19, 17-18; Phil. 3: 17-4:1; and the Gospel of Luke 13: 31-35.

During this second Sunday of Lent we will participate in the liturgy of diminishing light and we will celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. Worship begins at 10 a.m. and all are welcome to attend.

Church Council meets on Sunday February 28 following worship.

And as a friendly reminder – mark those calendars: February 27 – Saturday – Hoyleton Lions Consignment Auction at the Community Club, followed on Sunday, February 28 with the Annual Community Club Chicken Dinner. And don’t forget to be saving your papers and magazine as the Trinity Men’s Club Paper Drive is fastly approaching.
