Mr. Jack Brooks, III, of Beckemeyer, departed this life at his residence on Thursday, February 11, 2016. He had attained the age of 47 years, 7 months and 7 days.

Jack was born on July 4, 1968 in Belleville, the son of the late Jack Brooks, Jr. and Rose Swinford.

Jack was a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He was employed by Sisco Corporation and Metro East Industries. Jack was an avid deer hunter and fisherman.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife Tammy Brooks of Beckemeyer; five children, Jack, Alex and Tyler Brooks of Fairview Heights and Braxton and Tanner Brooks of Nashville; his mother, Rose Swinford and her husband Aaron of New Minden; a sister, Sherry Jacobson of Grayslake; a step brother, Matt Swinford of Collinsville; a step sister, Monica Swinford of St. Louis, Mo.; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Brooks, Jr., paternal grandparents, Jack, Sr. and Florence Brooks; maternal grandparents, August and Alma Kahrhoff; four uncles, Randy Brooks, Dan, William and Butch Kahrhoff and three aunts, Marilyn Smith, Catherine and Mary Kahrhoff.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Should friends desire memorials may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
