Leonard T. Grott

Mr. Leonard T. Grott of Fenton, Mo., passed away February 12th, 2016 at his home. He had attained the age of 90 years, 9 months and 1 day.

Leonard was born May 11, 1925 in Du Bois, son of John and Antonia (Kozuszek) Grott. He was united in marriage to Marie Broviak on September 3, 1949 in Sheller.

Leonard was a veteran of WWII and retired from McDonnell Douglas in 1987. He was a friend to everyone and loved tinkering & building things. He had an amazing sense of humor and loved helping others. His experiences made him an incredible role model and mentor and will be truly missed by all.

Left to mourn his passing is daughter Virginia Parker and husband Charles of St. Louis; Son Edward Grott and wife Paula of Chino Hills, Calif.; Fifteen grand, great and great-great grandchildren. Sister Evelyn Paszkiewicz of St. Louis; Brother-in-Laws, Raymond Broviak of Las Vegas, Nev., Marvin Broviak and wife Judy of Mocksville, N.C..; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Leonard is proceeded in death by his wife Marie, parents and Step-Brothers Paul, Andrew and Ted Gogolek.

There will be a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 19, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 10 Ann Ave, Valley Park, Mo., with lunch to follow.

Memorials may be made to The Disabled American Veterans.
