Paul A. Comer
Mr. Paul A. Comer of St. Charles, Mo., passed away on February 10, 2016. He had attained the age of 95 years, 4 months and 8 days.
Paul was born on October 2, 1920, the son of Paul A. and Rose Comer. He was united in marriage to Nellie Finkenkeller on July 29, 1941 and she preceded him in death on June 13, 2007. Also preceding him in death were his parents and four sisters.
Mr. Comer was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Navy in submarines. He was an iron worker and co-founder of Viking Steel Erection Co. He was one of many founders of Surry-Lane Ass. in St. Louis. Paul was also the biggest Northeast Missouri State Bulldog football fan 63-66, a great dancer, story-teller and friend to all who knew him.
Left to mourn his passing is son Paul B. Comer of Nashville; two grand-daughter, Kristen Dalaviras and husband, Jim, of Nashville and Carrie Bellair and husband, Dan, of Lockport; seven great-grandchildren, Eric, Jordan and Katie Dalaviras and Dustin, Cole, Samuel and Joshua Bellair.
Per wishes of Paul, cremation was performed and a private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date. Should friends desire, memorials my be made to the charity of the donors choice.
