This week is Reading Week! We are celebrating Dr. Seuss’ Birthday with Reading Across America!! On Wednesday we are wearing our pajamas and eating green eggs and ham, Green Eggs and Ham. If we reach our reading goal of reading 1,000 books in February, Mr. Brink and Mr. Fairbanks will dress up as the Cat in the Hat on Wednesday! On Thursday we are dressing up like what we want to be when we grow up, Oh the Places You’ll Go. On Friday we are wearing red and blue to show school spirit, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. On Friday morning at 10:10 we will also drop everything and read.
On Thursday, March 3rd, Ident-A-Kid will be here to take pictures for Identification Cards for the students. Order forms went home today. If you are interested in having your child participate, please fill out the order form and send it back to school on Thursday.
Friday, March 4th is the end of the third quarter. Report cards will go home the following week with the students.
Looking ahead:
There is no school on Monday, March 7th on observance of Casimir Pulaski Day.
Nashville District # 49 Kindergarten Registration for the 2016-2017 school year will be held at Nashville Primary School on Monday, March 21, 2016 between the hours of 7:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Primary School Office. Students do not need to attend. Parents who know their child will be attending Nashville Primary School next fall will need to fill out a registration packet, to get the packet ahead of time please stop by the Primary School Office or call 327-4304 ext. 100 and one can be mailed to you.
Nashville Primary School will be hosting a birth to five screening clinic on Thursday, March 31st and Friday, April 1st. If you have children under five years of age, please consider making an appointment for the screening. If your child will be attending our PreK next fall, this is the first step in the registration process. Please call the primary school office for your appointment, 327-4304 ext. 100.
