Chicken And Beer Dance A Success For The Chamber

The Nashville Chamber of Commerce met Wednesday, February 2 and they reported that the Chicken & Beer dance was another success.

Director Doris Povolish said membership is up to 108 at this time with some new or businesses not with the Chamber last year, include Friendship Manor, Saint Ann’s Church, Koch Insurance and Rainbow Ranch.

The Volunteer of the Year Banquet is on Monday, March 14 and it honors this year’s recipient, Gary Farris. He has picked his menu of roast pork, honey mustard chicken breast, potatoes, glazed carrots, broccoli, rolls and beverage of tea or water.

To get your tickets, contact Povolish at the Chamber office at 327-3700.

After talking with several general members that golf, Povolish reported that the better date to have the Chamber Golf Tournament is on Friday, June 3, one day later than originally planned, so mark it down.

The next meeting is on Wednesday, March 9 at Buretta’s in Nashville at noon for the general membership meeting with guest speaker Nathan Meinhart of Innovative Staff Solutions.
