Ruby Red Jewels’ February Meeting Held At Oakdale Country Kitchen

The Ruby Red Jewels motored to Oakdale to the Country Kitchen for their February meeting. The ladies were pleasantly surprised to see all the renovations that were made because of a fire. The restaurant provided a country atmosphere with paned windows covering the entire front and white shelves containing unique items to view. It was a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Each day there is a luncheon special and menu with other sandwiches, soups and salads. There is a dinner menu in the evening and the special brink oven made pizzas. Of course, there are about ten different kinds of pies baked daily.

The group enjoyed seeing the Red Ladies from Okawville who were also dining there. Following their luncheon, the Ruby Red Jewels shopped at 127 Antique Mall and concluded the afternoon with an ice cream visit to the Nashville Dairy Queen. Those attending were: Helen Bleisch, Maryann Borowiak, Phyllis Diedrich, Jerry Heggemeier, Winona Huckshold, Karen Lunte, Georgine Hawley-May, Laura Paskiewicz, Betty Renken, Sandy Turner and Marge Rensing, hostess.
