Ashley City Council meets March 21 at 7 pm at City Hall.
Ashley Fire Department will be hosting the annual Spring Blood Drive March 22 at the Community Building at the park.
The United Methodist Church has church services every Sunday at 8:30 am with Pastor Dennis Gambill. The first Thursday of every month is the senior potluck at the church. If you have any questions call Bill Strong at 314-0254.
On March 26, there will be an Easter Egg hunt at the city park starting at 12 p.m. The event is sponsored by New Heart Fellowship Church.
Don’t forget to stop by the Ashley Library and check out a book or use the computers.I think it’s wonderful that Ashley has a library.
Ashley Community Committee also known as A.C.C has changed their meetings to the second and fourth Sunday of every month at 6 pm at the United Methodist Church. They are busy planning the Flea Markets and Ashley picnic on July 2.
A fireworks fund has been set up at Farmers & Merchants Bank and anyone can donate at anytime. All donations are appreciated. So if you enjoyed last year’s fireworks be sure to donate to this year’s fund.
Do you love fried chicken? I believe the Lantern Pub has the best fried chicken around so stop in on Wednesday night or Sunday for all you can eat chicken you will be glad you did.
Ashley Marketplace has had some really good sales and fast and friendly service.
Popecks has great pizza if you haven’t had a pizza from there order one.
Chops 1 and 2 stop in and meet your friends for a drink or have a party.
I look at other little towns that do not have the businesses that we do and I am thankful for the small businesses in Ashley and I hope that everyone supports them.
