Nashville And Okawville Students Attend Career Day
On February 26, 2016, Kaskaskia College hosted a Career Day for the programs offered at the Harry L. Crisp Technology Center. These programs include Carpentry, Geospatial Technology, Architectural Design/Construction Project Management, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), and Welding.
Students from area secondary schools in the college district were invited to attend the Crisp Technology Career Day, which was a wonderful opportunity for students to obtain information to assist them in making career choices as they begin to prepare for their college education.
Included in the Career Day was a tour and program demonstrations with the following instructors providing demonstrations: David Koleson, Welding; Pete Donnelly, Carpentry; Rob Jervis, Architectural Design/Construction Project Management; Bruce Fink and Mike Rudibaugh; Geospatial Technology and Mark Kohnen, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
Approximately 175 high school students were in attendance that day. Schools that were in attendance included: Centralia High School, Nashville High School, Okawville High School, Mater Dei High School, and The Alternative Learning Academy of Centralia.
