Helen R. Kuhn

Mrs. Helen Kuhn of Okawville, departed this life in the Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville, on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 7:15 A.M. She had attained the age of 101 years, 9 months and 23 days.

Helen Ruth Sherman Kuhn was born at home in Petersburg, Ind., on May 27, 1914, the daughter of Edward and Montie (nee Whaley) Sherman.

Kuhn was a faithful member of the Okawville United Methodist Church for over 60 years, andenjoyed gardening and loved her dogs.

Left to mourn her passing is a daughter, Glenda Kuhn Darnstaedt of O’Fallon; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild, Peyton Darnstaedt; eight nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Darlene Kuhn; a very special friend; a sister; three brothers; a son-in-law; seven brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law,.

Funeral services will be held from the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Jeffrey Schwab officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Okawville.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home on Wednesday from 8 A.M. until the service hour.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Okawville United Methodist Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
