“My dad was on the team there,” said Daren Martens of the Classic Photo “Bowlin’, Bowlin’, Bowlin’…”, featured in the March 16 edition of The Nashville News.
Pictured Martens says, from left to right, are Monroe “Moose” Bergman, Earl Martens, Harold Martens (Daren’s father, between Daren’s uncles) and Leo Martens, and Leonard Steinkamp. The name of the man presenting the award is not known, but Daren says he believe that he may have been the league president. The team won the 1966 greater-Carlyle League Tournament, and bowled for Segelhorst Brothers Garage.
