On Tuesday March 15, eighth grade basketball players from Oakdale, Ashley, Nashville, and St. Ann gathered for the 2016 Nashville High School Feeder School All-Star game at Assembly Hall. The players were divided up evenly on two teams. On the home team was from Nashville Middle School, JD Schubert, Tristen Hercules,Neil Kabat, and Matt Anderson. Joining the Nashville Middle School students on the home team were Terry Pelczynski and Sam Bielong from St. Ann, and Jordan Woods from Ashley.
On the away team was Gavin Love, Carson Parker, and Harrison Briles from Nashville Middle School. Ryan Restoff from St. Ann, Gavyn Novak from Ashley, Chad Brinkman from TSJ, and Conner Sennholtz from Oakdale were also on the away team.
The home team took the early advantage leading 15-7 after the first quarter. The home team was able to extend their lead at halftime, by outscoring the away team 11-6 in the second. In the third, the away team was able to cut into the home team's lead, outscoring them 17-14. In the fourth, the home team pulled away to win 60-43.
Anderson led the home team with 23 points in the game. Pelczynski added 12 points followed by Hercules with 11 points. Kabat chipped in seven points, while Schubert scored five points. Woods scored two points to round out the scoring for the home team.
The away team was led by Parker, who led all scorers with 25 points in the game. Brinkmann added eight points in the game, followed by Love with four points. Briles and Novak added three points apiece to round out the scoring.
